Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and wish to gain valuable experience in the hospitality and culinary sectors.

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of ingredients for cooking and food service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help chefs with basic food preparation tasks as required. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure timely meal delivery. Dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations. Adhere to all health and safety standards while working in the kitchen environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. A keen interest in culinary arts and a willingness to learn from experienced cooks. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
