Kitchen Porter Position at Rufford Arms Hotel

Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary department. This is a full-time position offering 30 plus hours per week. Will include lunch times, evenings and weekends.

Due to location you will need your own transport as local public transport does not work in conjunction to shift pattern

Experience:

- Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous

- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation is preferred

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and under pressure

- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist colleagues as needed

Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Support kitchen staff in food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and procedures at all times
- Handle dishwashing duties efficiently to keep kitchen operations running smoothly
- Aid in stock control, including receiving and storing deliveries
- Collaborate with the culinary team to facilitate seamless service during peak hours
- Help with general kitchen duties as needed to contribute to a well-functioning kitchen environment
