The Job...
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Commis Chef to join our team at The Stand Off in Exeter. This role is crucial to maintaining our kitchen's efficiency and cleanliness, contributing directly to our mission of providing outstanding service and quality food. 20+ hours a week but more hours available at times. You must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities...
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
Support kitchen staff during busy service periods
Ensure proper storage of food items and supplies
Follow health and safety regulations at all times
Participate in maintaining a positive team environment.
Experience needed...
Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred
Strong understanding of food safety practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Team player with good communication skills
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Flexibility to work varied shifts as required.

Competitive Salary : 12.71 per hour. Staff discount on all drinks and food all week (whether you are working or not!).
