We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high-standard culinary setting. Previous experience in food preparation or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training will be provided.
Duties
Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to ensure cleanliness standards are met
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment
Supporting the organisation of storage areas and stock rotation
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Supporting the team during busy service periods by providing general assistance as required
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene standards is a plus
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality services
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends if required
