Duties

Responsible for cleaning and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards. Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Supporting chefs with general kitchen duties such as restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces. Ensuring the kitchen area is tidy, organised, and free from hazards throughout service periods. Assisting in waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently and responsibly. Supporting the team during busy service times by providing additional help where needed to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures is desirable. A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during service hours. A genuine interest in hospitality and culinary arts is beneficial for career development within the sector.
