We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Prior kitchen or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities

Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support chefs and kitchen staff Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout shifts organise and store supplies efficiently to ensure easy access during service Support with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety guidelines Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times within the kitchen environment Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service delivery and smooth kitchen operations

Skills

Previous experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen procedures is advantageous Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene Flexibility to adapt to busy periods and changing priorities within the kitchen setting
