Duties

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly to support kitchen operations. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with cooking as needed. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed within the kitchen environment. Help with stock rotation and inventory management to ensure freshness of ingredients. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to maintain a positive working atmosphere.

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, ideally within restaurants or hotels. A basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to learn from experienced chefs. A passion for hospitality and providing high-quality service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
