We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a high-quality hospitality setting. Primarily Wednesday - Saturday, 5pm - 11pm.
Duties
Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the shift
Supporting the storage of ingredients and supplies in designated areas
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policies
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety within the kitchen environment
Supporting other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure efficient service delivery
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking skills are advantageous
Familiarity with kitchen safety and hygiene standards is preferred
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary
A positive attitude and willingness to learn about culinary processes and hospitality standards
