Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.

Previous kitchen experience is advantageous, but we are also open to training enthusiastic candidates eager to learn.

Duties

Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces are sanitised. Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly to support kitchen operations. Support chefs with basic cooking tasks when needed, contributing to meal service. Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper stock rotation. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment. Assist in the delivery of food to dining areas as required, providing excellent service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred but not essential. A background in culinary arts or hospitality is beneficial for understanding kitchen operations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning and development. Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for food and an eagerness to contribute to a vibrant kitchen atmosphere.
