Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly by handling cleaning duties, assisting with basic food preparation, and supporting the overall hospitality experience. Duties

Washing, drying, and sanitising dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards. Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, such as peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients. Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational tasks to ensure smooth service delivery. Maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, work surfaces, and storage areas. Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations. Restocking supplies and ensuring all necessary items are readily available for service. Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques is desirable. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cleaning procedures within a professional setting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service periods. A proactive approach to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with health regulations. Pay: 12.33-14.77 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
