We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations, ensuring that all food preparation areas are organised and well-stocked. Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly after use. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Help with the organisation of food storage areas, ensuring that all items are labelled and stored correctly. Support chefs during service by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating as needed. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, maintaining a safe working environment. Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the kitchen.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is advantageous but not essential. Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of cooking techniques are preferred. Strong organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure. A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced culinary environment. A passion for food and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
