Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring all areas meet health and safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic hospitality setting, with potential for growth and development within the industry. Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen staff Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to uphold hygiene standards Supporting the organisation of kitchen supplies and ingredients Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures Ensuring all equipment is stored correctly and safely after use Supporting the team during busy service periods by preparing ingredients or assisting with serving when required

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality (desirable but not essential) Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Good organisational skills and attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training as needed Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or early mornings as required by the establishment A positive attitude and team-oriented approach to work
