We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver high-quality service. Previous kitchen or hotel experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Ensure all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils, are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised to meet health and safety standards Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors Support the organisation and storage of ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations Handle waste disposal efficiently and responsibly Maintain cleanliness in communal areas such as dishwashing stations and storage rooms Support the team during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary setting is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Basic understanding of food preparation and hygiene standards Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Good organisational skills with attention to detail Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends if necessary A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role
