Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Staff members to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced culinary environment. As a Kitchen member you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and eager to learn more about food preparation and culinary practices within a restaurant or hotel setting. This is a live in position.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and cooks, ensuring high standards of hygiene and food safety are upheld. Help in the storage and rotation of food items, ensuring that all products are stored correctly to maintain freshness. Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance with basic cooking tasks when required. Keep kitchen equipment clean and in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues to the head chef. Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or hospitality setting is preferred; a willingness to learn is key. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to develop within the hospitality industry. Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
