Duties

Assist in meal preparation and cooking, following established recipes and presentation standards. Engage in food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all kitchen operations. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen workflow during peak service times. Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution. Keep the kitchen area clean and organised, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces. Support the serving team by preparing plates for service and ensuring timely delivery of meals. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices. Experience in meal preparation and catering is an advantage. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in food presentation.
