About Us

Oasis Bingo Bangor is a vibrant entertainment venue that prides itself on offering more than just bingo -- we provide a welcoming space where our customers can enjoy great food, friendly service, and a warm atmosphere. We're looking for a skilled and motivated cook to lead the preparation of light lunches, and evening food from our on-site snack bar.

We want someone who can manage a busy kitchen, deliver consistently high-quality food, and help elevate our snack bar's (Bingo Bites) reputation as a go-to spot for players and visitors alike.

We would like someone who has a passion for food and can introduce new easy to make items to add to our small menu. We are open to new ideas, and new offerings for our customers and would love our next kitchen supervisor to push, and elevate the kitchen to new heights.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items including, snacks, and baked goods. Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment. Ensure stock levels are maintained and place orders with trusted suppliers. Keep all food storage areas clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene standards. Follow food safety procedures and maintain proper documentation. Stay calm and efficient during busy service times. Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and storage areas.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen or cafe role. Strong cooking and food preparation skills. Experience managing kitchen stock and placing supplier orders. Knowledge of various cooking styles, dietary requirements, and allergy management. Ability to follow recipes and prepare consistent, high-quality dishes. Well-organised with strong communication and teamwork skills. Able to remain calm and efficient under pressure.

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or Higher)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00-13.91 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
