We are seeking a talented and passionate Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, along with excellent leadership skills to manage a dynamic kitchen environment. As our Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of our menu dishes that meet our high standards of quality and presentation while ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are adhered to.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service.
Supervise kitchen staff, including young people, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with menu specifications and customer preferences.
Manage food production processes, including portion control, presentation, and plating techniques.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness including pot washing.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a similar culinary role within a cafe, restaurant or any food type of food outlet.
Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a small team effectively.
Good knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in both cooking and kitchen management.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour
