About the Role

1962 Livingston is seeking a highly motivated and experienced

Assistant Kitchen Manager

to join our professional kitchen team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the effective and efficient operation of our kitchen, ensuring that the highest standards of quality, service, and compliance are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Kitchen Manager in the day-to-day management of all kitchen operations. Lead, train, and support kitchen staff to deliver high-quality service. Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene, health, and safety regulations. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control costs effectively. Contribute to menu planning and the continuous improvement of kitchen standards.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in a similar supervisory or management role within a busy kitchen environment. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive and professional approach to kitchen management.
