Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with various tasks related to food preparation, cooking, and serving. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food .

Duties

Meal preparation and cooking according to established recipes and guidelines. Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring as required for various dishes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen. Support catering events by preparing and serving food items as needed. Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use. Collaborate with care staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Follow all health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred, including roles in catering or restaurants, however training is provided for those who have had no experience working in a Care Home Kitchen. Culinary experience is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are important for success in this role. A passion for cooking and serving delicious food will contribute to a positive dining experience for our customers.
