As part of the investment in our mission we are seeking a knowledge system manager. This new role has been created to support our strategic objective of increasing our advice, information and support services to consumers and small businesses.

The team

The consumer advice-focussed role will sit in the energy team, whose purpose is to enable households, small businesses and communities to have affordable energy costs and reduce carbon emissions that contribute to climate change.

We provide energy advice services, renewable energy expertise and manage and administer loans and grants for energy saving and low or zero carbon improvements to homes and businesses on behalf of governments, local authorities and businesses.

The role

We are seeking an experienced knowledge systems manager with an extensive understanding of the knowledge system market and different system pros and cons to enable us to achieve our mission of addressing the climate emergency by establishing, managing and maintaining a knowledge management system. This will underpin our advice and information to consumers, directly feeding our services and tools with user-ready advice and information.

You will research and analyse our consumer advice and information needs to inform system selection, management and development. You will manage integration of this centralised, efficient system with all our advice channels including telephone, email and digital advice services, our website and digital services and tools, including AI enhanced digital services, helping us to be more operationally efficient. You will work closely and effectively with our knowledge team whose role is to research and write new advice content to be held on the system.

What you\'ll do

  • Understand our consumer advice and information needs to inform system selection, management and development.
  • Establish, manage and maintain up to date an appropriate knowledge management system to underpin our advice and information to consumers, directly feeding our services and tools with user-ready advice and information.
  • Manage maintenance of the knowledge content to ensure the system is current and information is up to date, comprehensive and searchable for relevant teams.
  • Manage integration of this centralised, efficient system with all our advice channels including telephone, email and digital advice services, our website and digital services and tools, including AI enhanced digital services, helping us to be more operationally efficient.
  • Work collaboratively with the technical knowledge team to establish and implement processes to ensure knowledge development and knowledge system development is planned, prioritised and coordinated appropriately to meet business strategic objectives.
What you\'ll bring
  • Extensive understanding of the knowledge system market and options available.
  • Minimum 2-3 years IT experience with at least 1 years\' experience in IT knowledge management.
  • Excellent problem solving, decision making and prioritising skills.
  • Project management skills including ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects, adhering to targeted timeframes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer and user focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
This is a permanent position. Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

This will need to be a full-time role. We are open to flexible working locations (within GB.) and as standard we offer all contracts on blended (home and office-based) working.
