Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Korean Head Chef to lead our Korean hot pot & BBQ kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Korean cuisine, an innovative mindset, and excellent leadership skills to ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and service.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development: Create authentic and innovative Korean dishes, including BBQ, hot pot, and seasonal specials, tailored to our diverse customer base.o Leadership: Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations and fostering a positive work environment.o Food Preparation: Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation align with Tokia Square's standards.o Hygiene & Compliance: Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and oversee HACCP implementation.o Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste while managing food costs effectively.o Training & Development: Train kitchen staff on cooking techniques, presentation, and safety standards to maintain excellence.o Collaboration: Work closely with other chefs, the bar team, and management to deliver a cohesive dining experience.o Technology Integration: Adapt to and utilize advanced kitchen technologies, such as automated fryers and other innovations used in Tokia Square.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a head chef or sous chef specializing in Korean cuisine.o Expertise in preparing Korean BBQ, and other traditional Korean dishes.o Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen management.o Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.o Creativity and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.o Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.o Familiarity with automated kitchen technologies is a plus.o Minimum Level 2 in Health & Safetyo Minimum Level 2 in HACCPo Food Safety Level 3o Any current restaurant workers are preferred.
