We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt of goods within our establishment. This position requires a strong understanding of food preparation and kitchen operations, making it essential for candidates to have relevant experience in hospitality, culinary, or restaurant environments.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect all incoming goods to ensure quality and accuracy against purchase orders.
Organise and store received items in appropriate locations within the kitchen or storage areas.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and report discrepancies as necessary.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely distribution of ingredients and supplies for food preparation.
Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, utilising cooking skills and knowledge of food safety standards.
Support the overall cleanliness and organisation of the receiving area and storage facilities.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
