Food Safety
To follow safety standards set within the Packing Department in order to ensure the safety of yourself, fellow employees, contractors and customers.
To assist in achieving all departmental objectives, within agreed safety and quality standards.
To achieve the agreed standards of product quality and environmental hygiene.
To assist in maintaining laid down procedures and practices to comply with the BRC standards.
Packing
To provide the Supervisor with accurate information i.e., damage to equipment, staff issues, downtime.
Ensure all relevant documentation is completed correctly and legibly.
Ensure that any glass breakages are being reported correctly and comply with all written procedures.
Ensure Hygiene records comply with customer requirements.
Ensure the setting up of lines is completed, quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times, including clean as you go.
Ensure that all staff are trained and assessed to ensure that they are competent in the task they are expected to undertake, e.g., Sleeving, packing, building pallets.
Complete all electronic recording systems when required e.g., Hold Log, Non- Conforming Products.
Identify training requirements to the Supervisor / Production Manager prior to undertaking new tasks.
Report any practices or procedures which may be unsafe and have potential to cause injury.
Team Working and Relationships
Develop and maintain relationships within the team, working cooperatively at all times.
Ensure that any difficulties in working relationships are reported promptly to a supervisor.
Liaise with other team members as required, to fulfil production requirements.
