We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with FDA and UK regulations, manage laboratory information management systems, and lead a team of technicians in overseeing our R&D as well as production. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of laboratory processes and enhancing analytical capabilities.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise laboratory staff, ensuring effective workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) in compliance with FDA and UK regulations.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of laboratory information management systems to ensure accurate data management.
Conduct regular audits of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Facilitate training and development for laboratory personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support research initiatives and project development.
Analyse experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Ensure that all laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning optimally.
Quality control of any production runs
Collaborate with operations stakeholders to ensure inventory requirements are met
Requirements
Proven experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of laboratory operations and safety standards.
Familiarity with FDA and UK regulations and compliance requirements relevant to laboratory practices.
Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and analysis.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
