Moredun Scientific (a commercial subsidiary of the Moredun Group) are seeking applicants for the role of Laboratory Supervisor to work 20 hours per week over 5 days. You will join a team of people involved in the conduct of studies evaluating vaccines and animal health products and a range of samples and products from the manufacture of human biological therapeutics.

The role involves supervision of the Moredun Scientific Laboratory areas in the main Moredun Scientific building including routine laboratory maintenance.

Experience required

It is essential that you have

a recognised Higher National Certificate/Diploma or equivalent qualification, in Biological Sciences or a related discipline. previous experience of working in a biological sciences laboratory. an ability to make accurate written records and data entries. proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel.
The post requires an enthusiastic candidate with good organisational and communication skills.

In addition, ideally you will have experience of working in a GLP or GMP environment.

Occasional out of hours work may be required for which additional payment is made.
