Overview

We are seeking a skilled Floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in various floor laying techniques. This role involves working with laminate flooring and ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The Floor Layer will play a crucial role in transforming spaces by installing flooring that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties

Measure and cut flooring materials to fit designated areas, ensuring precise alignment and minimal waste. Install laminate flooring following manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to at all times. Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to determine layout and installation requirements. Conduct repairs or replacements of damaged flooring as needed, maintaining the overall quality of work. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely when not in use.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction, particularly in floor laying or related fields. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in flooring installation. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
