Randle Siddeley Limited is a leading and award winning landscape architecture, construction and maintenance company, built up over more than fifty years.

RSL's Design Team specialises in designing landscapes and gardens for private residences and commercial developments all over the world. Our Construction Division often works closely with our Design Team or with other landscape industry established and admired designers to construct beautiful gardens and other spaces.

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting an Estimator with previous landscaping experience to work within our Commercial Team.

The position will involve working with the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager Preparing and submitting tender packages on high-quality soft and hard landscaping schemes, ranging from 100k up to 3 million in value, either as RSL working as the main contractor, or as a subcontractor.

KEY ROLES



Preparing detailed and accurate tenders across hard and soft landscaping Reviewing drawings, specifications and employer's requirements to identify risks and opportunities Producing take-offs, bills of quantities, cost plans, and final submissions to stated deadlines Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, designers and internal teams to build accurate bids Identifying alternative materials, methods and value engineering options Supporting bid strategy and pricing decisions to improve win rates and margins Using estimating and take-off software (e.g. Bluebeam, On-Screen Take-off, Excel, Word)

REQUIREMENTS



Proven experience as a Estimator of soft and hard landscape Construction Commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts and risk Confident producing tenders from enquiry receipt through to price submission. Preparation and collation of budget costs for potential new clients Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with wider teams Strong attention to detail with a practical, delivery-focused mindset Confident IT skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; particularly a good knowledge of Excel Able to multitask, prioritise, manage time effectively, using own initiative
