We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves hands-on work in various gardening tasks, ensuring the health and aesthetics of our outdoor spaces. The Gardener will be responsible for cultivating plants, maintaining gardens, and utilising both hand and power tools effectively. Your place of work will be at one place in Abridge, Essex tending to landscaped gardens.
Duties
Utilise hand tools for planting, pruning, and maintaining garden beds.
Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers to ensure tidy landscapes.
Implement irrigation systems to provide adequate water supply to plants.
Conduct regular inspections of plants and landscapes to identify pests or diseases.
Assist in the design and layout of new garden areas.
Maintain soil health through appropriate fertilisation and mulching techniques.
Collaborate with team members to ensure all gardening tasks are completed efficiently.
Keep records of plant growth, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
Experience
Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is preferred.
Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and techniques.
Knowledge of plant care, including watering, pruning, and pest management.
Experience with irrigation systems is advantageous.
Ability to operate various gardening tools safely and effectively.
