Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with sheet metal fabrication processes. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components while ensuring safety and efficiency in the production environment.

Duties

Operate laser cutting machines to fabricate components from sheet metal according to specifications. Assemble parts and ensure they meet quality standards through careful inspection. Utilise basic maths skills to calculate measurements and adjustments required for precise cutting. Maintain tooling and hand tools in good condition, ensuring they are used safely and effectively. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during operations. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Qualifications

Proven experience in operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques. Proficient in using hand tools and tooling relevant to the fabrication process. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement in production processes. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
