Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standard. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, uniforms, and other textiles within our facility. Duties

Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently, ensuring proper loading and unloading of laundry items. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron various types of fabrics according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management. Adhere to health and safety regulations while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery. Assist with the delivery and collection of laundry items as required. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns related to laundry services.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads when necessary. Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and their safe usage is an advantage. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
