We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of linen and laundry to various locations, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition. This role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction and upholding our company's reputation for quality service. Experience in the delivery driving industry is a plus, as you will be delivering to various locations in Mid Wales & Shropshire, some locations are rather rural and small country roads so a confident van driver is crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport laundry and linen hire to designated locations.
Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to scheduled routes and timelines.
Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately accounted for.
Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safety on the road.
Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points.
Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents immediately to management.
Requirements
Valid driving licence with a clean driving record.
must be 21 or over.
Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Physically fit, with the ability to lift heavy items when necessary.
A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
