- 15 - 20 per week (to be agreed with candidate)

- 12 - 15,000 per annum (depending on hours agreed)

- Minister with pastoral charge

Old Colwyn Methodist Church is looking for a Lay Community Worker to work alongside the minister and the leadership team to contribute to the growth of the church. The post offers an exciting opportunity to develp links with the local community and make partnerships with local organisations. an important part of the role will be to develop the offer of hospitality at the well equipped church buildings, extending a particular welcome for dementia sufferers and their carers.

The person we are looking for must be:

a committed and practising Christian, comfortable with the workings of the Methodist Church able to work alone, and as part of a wider team trained (or willing to be trained) in all aspects of Safeguarding, inclusing risk assessment flexible in regard to hours of work possessed of excellent interpersonal skills, and able to relate to people of all ages able to demonstrate relevant experience
An enhanced DBS disclosure and disbarring check is a requirement for this post

The post is for a fixed term of 3 years, subject to extension following a review and the availablity of funding.
