Number 9 is an established, local business looking in Great Sankey, Warrington. We have created a welcoming space that serves cracking food and addictive coffee!

We are looking for an experienced Lead Chef / Cook to run our kitchen. Working shifts will be across Wed - Sun (open to discussion), day/ working 40 hrs.

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Chef / Cook to create & manage an innovative menu of freshly prepared food sourced from local suppliers. This role involves maintaining high standards of food preparation and hygiene, cooking food to order during service, ordering and storing of food, menu management and will be part of the venue management team.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of food preparation.
- Contribute to menu ideas and seasonal offerings.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills and ovens.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including accurate record keeping.
- Ordering, receiving and storing food supplies, ensuring stock rotation and minimal waste.
- Adhere to all food safety and cleanliness statutory requirements.

Experience

- Previous experience managing / leading a kitchen environment is essential.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods, ideas for menu dishes following seasonality and trends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Good understanding of food safety regulations and willingness to follow proper procedures.
