Remote (some travel to Sheffield / London / Poole), frequent national site visits

Salary:

38,000 - 55,000 per annum (DOE - depending on experience & qualifications), + car allowance + commission

The Role

We seek an experienced

Active Fire Protection Estimator

to join our team. This is a remote role, with occasional travel to our Sheffield, London, and Poole offices, and frequent site visits across the UK.

You'll be central to tendering and pricing fire safety projects, producing accurate and competitive quotations, and collaborating with design, contracts, and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for active fire protection systems (sprinklers, suppression, detection, etc.) Analyse tender documentation, drawings, specifications Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to gather competitive quotes Assess project risks & compliance with current fire safety standards & British codes Support bid submissions and client presentations Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams, maintaining accuracy and clarity from tender to execution Use of SIMPRO and CRM

Requirements

Proven experience in estimating active fire protection projects Strong technical knowledge of sprinkler systems, fire alarms, suppression, detection and related solutions Ability to read & interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail Strong communication skills - with clients, suppliers, and internal teams Willingness to travel nationally; full UK driving licence UK right to work UK driving license Ability to pass DBS checking process
