Lead Fabricator
to support and develop our fabrication team. This is a key role within a respected, third?generation family business dedicated to delivering high?quality mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and support the fabrication team
Maintain a safe, compliant, and well?organised workshop
Check incoming parts for quality and quantity
Ensure parts sent for plating/powder?coating are stamped and quality checked
Test interconnecting components using jigs and critical measurements
Manage stock levels and weekly cycle counts
Ensure production targets and quality standards are met
Manage job priorities and day?to?day workflow
Communicate effectively with internal departments
Manage attendance, timekeeping, and team performance
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
Carry out welding and fabrication work to a high standard
Essential Criteria
Proven experience as a welder/fabricator producing high?quality work
Previous supervisory or team?leader experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Committed to quality and safe working practices
Proactive, forward?thinking approach to problem?solving and performance improvement
IT proficient
Experience using stock management systems (advantageous)
Previous experience operating a welding robotic arm (advantageous)
Ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative
