We are looking for a level 2 or above gymnastics coach to join our team at Ignite Gymnastics.
About Us
At Ignite Gymnastics we aim to provide fun and productive lessons from Under 2's to Over 8's, we are a non-competitive club and all of our classes are recreational. In addition to our weekly schedule, we provide gymnastics birthday parties and various activities throughout the school holidays.
We run classes for all ages across two sites, both at The Junction Sport & Leisure Centre and Ashdown Leisure Centre. This position is based at Ashdown Leisure Centre however you may be asked to work over at The Junction on occasion to cover holiday or sickness.
About the Role
We are looking for a level 2 gymnastics coach from any of the following disciplines: General, WAG, MAG. We also accept NRG coaching qualifications.
You will lead our after school gymnastics lessons on Tuesdays & Wednesdays at Ashdown Leisure Centre, with the help of an assistant coach. There will be opportunities for overtime to include cover for our other sessions, the occasional birthday party, and help to cover our holiday activities in the school holidays.
Initial hours are (Subject to be altered according to the needs of the business):
Tuesdays 4.00pm-7.00pm
Wednesdays 4.00pm-7.00pm
Fridays 4.00pm-6.00pm
Saturdays 9.00am-1.00pm
Total: 14 per week
Hours will be different during the school holidays to cover our weekly holiday activities
You will be paid a salary based on your hourly rate, contracted for 48 weeks per year and this will also include holiday pay. We close for two weeks in the summer, and two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period.
There are regular opportunities to gain new qualifications such as preschool, disabilities modules etc.
The successful candidate will need to complete a DBS Check and Safeguarding certificate, funded by Ignite.
About You
You will be experienced in teaching recreational gymnastics, be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and initiative. You will share our philosophy that gymnastics should be fun and for everyone.
You must be able to build a rapport with both the gymnasts and their parents. Good communication is essential and a polite and friendly manner is always expected.
Creativity is key, being able to adapt sessions and plans on the spot to ensure our gymnasts get the absolute best out of every lesson with us.
