We are seeking an exceptional

Lead Housekeeper

to join a friendly, professional household team at a beautiful private estate near

Worthing, West Sussex

This is a discreet, long-term opportunity ideally suited to an experienced

2nd Steward/ess or Housekeeping Steward/ess from a superyacht

, or a senior housekeeper from a

stately home or luxury (4-5

) hotel

, who is looking to transition into a high-quality, land-based role.

The Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the

day-to-day housekeeping standards of the main residence

, ensuring the property is immaculately presented, guest-ready at all times, and run with calm efficiency and attention to detail.


Key responsibilities include:


Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards throughout the property Managing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules (including deep cleans) Full laundry management, including fine linens and garments Care of silver, antiques, artwork, and fine furniture Inventory management and ordering of household and cleaning supplies Bed making, linen changes, and detailed room preparation Interior window cleaning and light outdoor housekeeping areas Table setting and assistance with service during events Flower arranging and general presentation Working flexibly as part of a trusted household team

The Ideal Candidate

You will be:


Immaculately presented, detail-driven, and quietly confident Experienced in

private households, superyachts, or luxury hospitality

A natural organiser with exacting standards - but a calm supervisor & mentor Positive, adaptable, and a strong team player Trustworthy, discreet, and fully respectful of privacy and confidentiality Comfortable working to high expectations in a lived-in but refined environment

Requirements:

Proven housekeeping experience in a comparable high-end setting Full UK driving licence and own transport (rural location) Right to work in the UK
