We're recruiting a Lead Nurse!

We're excited to open an internal opportunity for a Lead Nurse to join our leadership team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys supporting others, leading by example, and helping shape high-quality patient care across the practice.

As our Lead Nurse, you'll provide hands-on clinical care while also guiding, developing and supporting our fantastic nursing team.

What the role involves

Clinical leadership & patient care

Providing high-quality assessments, diagnosis and treatment for acute and long-term conditions Supporting long-term condition management Leading on infection prevention & control Supporting women's health (family planning/cervical screening if trained) Contributing to adult and child immunisations Managing complex wounds Prioritising urgent or emergency presentations when required

Team leadership & development

Supporting recruitment, induction and staff development Carrying out annual appraisals and monitoring CPD Leading on nursing standards, protocols and best practice Supporting quality improvement and service development Encouraging a positive, open and supportive team culture Helping to manage risk, safety and complaints processes

What we're looking for

Essential:

? Strong skills in long-term condition management & complex wound care
? Great communicator who enjoys teamwork
? Organised, resilient and adaptable

Desirable:

Independent Non-Medical Prescriber Cytology training Experience of audit and reporting
