We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who is keen to plan and run a varied therapeutic group programme.
This role has been developed to support the emerging group programme across CAMHS. The post holder will lead, with the support of the team manager, in the planning of, and running of a range of therapeutic groups to meet the needs of the service, co-facilitating groups with clinicians from the wider service.
There is a lot of scope for personal and professional development within the service supported by our leadership team and training and development lead.
The group programme will be a mix of a face to face and virtual offer, the ability to travel across the County is essential.
Co-ordinate the delivery of high quality day service support for young people and their families, utilising knowledge and skills for interpretation, analysis of patients' needs and care planning.
Promote and conform to the Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Policy and Procedure for safeguarding children, and national guidelines.
Ensure effective joint working between agencies and professionals and effective information sharing to safeguard children and young people.
Have an understanding of, coordinate the delivery of and provide a range of interventions such as family work, solution focussed therapy, cognitive therapy, behavioural management, individual counselling and group work
Access supervision to support practice development.
Liaise with other professionals, offer consultation and joint working to provide early interventions in and prevention of mental health problems in young people.
Develop effective care pathways for children and young people.
Work within the Multi-Disciplinary pathway team to offer and access supervision and support to ensure good practice.
Practice and demonstrate knowledge that promotes child protection and the rights of the child.
