We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to lead our pub kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety and quality. As the lead Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests while leading and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
This is a small pub kitchen, however the aim is to recruit a professional to develop our menu, increase sales and build the kitchen to what it should be.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary requirements.
Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes.
