We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pub Chef to join the team at this country gastropub. The ideal candidate will possess strong cooking skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of kitchen operations. You will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of food production, and maintaining a positive atmosphere within the kitchen.
Responsibilities
Work alongside kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient food production processes.
Complete daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Delivering the menu to specification, with an eye for detail when presenting dishes and managing portioning and wastage.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
Implement quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards of food quality.
Experience
Proven experience in a role within a kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong background in pub or restaurant kitchens where delivering consistent dishes under pressure.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of hospitality best practices and an understanding of customer service excellence.
Ability to work alongside others in a collaborative work environment.
Familiarity with inventory management, and cost control measures is advantageous.
