Achievio, a respected Tuition and Education Centre situated in Melksham, provides bespoke individual and group tuition for young learners aged 4-18. We are currently seeking an accomplished and enthusiastic
Lead STEM & Coding Tutor
to spearhead and deliver inspiring sessions, playing an integral role in the expansion of this dynamic facet of our business.
In addition to our established academic tuition, Achievio proudly offers engaging courses and clubs focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), including coding, specifically tailored for children primarily aged 4-11. These stimulating sessions are conducted in small, in-person groups at our well-equipped centre in Melksham, typically during afternoon periods, after school, and throughout school holidays. Our current resources include, but are not limited to, Lego Spike, Sphero Indi, and Sphero Bolt robotics kits.
We are eager to connect with an individual who possesses a profound passion for STEM and Coding and can translate this enthusiasm into captivating learning experiences. This role offers the opportunity to significantly shape our evolving STEM curriculum, with course scheduling arranged flexibly around the successful candidate's availability.
Key Responsibilities:
To meticulously plan and deliver intellectually stimulating STEM and/or coding sessions to small groups of children.
To actively contribute to the development and refinement of STEM and coding course content, bringing fresh ideas and pedagogical insights.
To vigilantly monitor and ensure the absolute safety and well-being of all children within the centre.
To diligently track student progress, providing regular and constructive updates to both students and their parents/guardians.
To maintain a pristine, inviting, and secure learning environment conducive to exploration and discovery.
To proactively share innovative ideas and collaborate effectively with colleagues, ensuring comprehensive support for all our students.

Possess a passion for technology, coding, and the broader STEM fields, and can adeptly utilise this passion to inspire and motivate children.
Genuinely relish working with children and can cultivate positive, professional, and encouraging relationships with them.
Have demonstrable experience in managing and engaging small groups of children effectively.
Have valuable experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Exhibit strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal aptitudes.
Are inherently reliable, exceptionally enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
Can demonstrate the ability to work cohesively as part of a committed team and collaborate productively with colleagues.
Are unequivocally committed to providing all children with the opportunity and robust support necessary for them to achieve success.

This is a flexible, zero-hours contract position. Sessions will be scheduled in mutual agreement, based on your availability and Achievio's programme requirements.
Remuneration:
30 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and demonstrable experience.
