Role Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable

Lead Youth Football Coach

to deliver weekly football sessions for children aged 1.5 to 5 years old. The successful candidate will plan and run sessions tailored to young children, ensuring each session is safe, structured, and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate football sessions. Set up and pack down all equipment each week. Create a positive, supportive, and fun environment for players and parents. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during sessions. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians and Strike Academy staff. Be punctual, reliable, and committed to weekly Saturday morning sessions.

Requirements

Experience working with young children (ideally in sports, coaching, or childcare). Confident, energetic, and engaging personality. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to plan creative, age-appropriate activities. Commitment to weekly Saturday mornings. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain). First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential). Relevant coaching qualifications (preferred but not essential -- training can be provided).
