Leakage Team Supervisor
RPS are seeking Leakage Team Supervisor for our Scottish Water contract. You will manage an existing team of experience Leakage Technicians.

About The Team:
Our Team assess, diagnose, and determine the most appropriate solution to reduce leakage and fully support the delivery of regulatory targets and work to pinpoint leakage with a level of accuracy that delivers a great service for clients.
About You:
As a key member of the Leakage business, your role as Team supervisor is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water experts on a range of different projects all over Scotland.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Core:
  • Inform Delivery Manager of job progress.
  • Real time resource management decision making and liaising with Delivery Managers.
  • Staying away to support the team as and when required.
  • Act as a stand in for team members to cover sickness and holidays as required.
  • Leadership:
  • Ensure time sheets for the team have been completed, submitted & approved on time for your team.
  • Ensure teams vehicle inspections are submitted (daily and weekly).
  • Ensure the team is adhering to their objectives.
  • Lead team meeting as and when required, including progression plans for team members
  • Drive the team to meet any and all targets set.
  • Perform end of year reviews for your teams.
  • Spend an appropriate amount of time with each of your teams on the ground.
  • Communicates tough messages clearly and empathetically
  • Ensure teams' adherence to our IMS procedures
  • Demonstrate and be an example of the RPS behaviours at all times.
  • Liaise with principle engineer as required to address any technical responsibilities and/or issues.
  • Identify, develop and implement any behaviours, tests, techniques and equipment to improve leakage detection and team efficiencies.
  • KPI:
  • Monitor performance and provide clear feedback that is constructive
  • Ensures that people are accountable and responsible for their own work
  • Client Management:
  • Attend client meetings as required.
  • Acknowledge issues when they arise in the team and act to resolve them decisively and promptly
  • Encourage frequent interaction with team members outside formal meetings
  • Health & Safety:
  • Review and monitor all 1.09.-01 risk assessments, Hazards and near misses, BEST.
  • Procuring equipment / PPE as required.
  • Pick up and deliver any equipment / PPE orders to the teams.
  • Audit jobs on the ground.
  • Being responsible for ALL HSE Delivery for your teams.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Relevant experience of working on the ground locating leaks.
  • Must have relevant experience leading teams.
  • Excellent time and resource management skills.
  • Update and review entry pack APP. as required.
  • Sweep management work bank data analysis.
  • Planning step testing, run step testing.
  • Excellent communication between the field and office teams.
  • Mentoring team where required.
  • Excellent intercompany/team relationship management.
  • Ability to manage priority changes as required.
  • Be able to lead team engagement across areas as required.
  • Always put safety 1st.
  • Excellent resource management understanding and skills.
  • Staying away and supporting shift changes as required.
  • Acknowledges when results need to improve.
  • Show fairness and thought in making decisions.
  • Be Transparent & open in discussion. Generates questions that are honest and constructive.
  • Bring out the best in team members, always assuming best intent.
Health and Safety:
This role may involve:
  • Moving heavy items including meter / PRV chambers covers and various other pieces of equipment.
  • Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also).
  • You may be required to work away from home as required.
  • You may also be required to work across both urban and rural areas.
  • Please note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role and a DBS check will be undertaken.
