We have an exciting role for an individual with experience in Learning Design to join our Technical Learning team. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing learning content and resources for change projects, in response to changes in regulations, syllabi, or business needs. You will work collaboratively with different Subject Matter Experts to produce learning resources which align with Heathrow quality and assurance standards.
This role also provides the opportunity to collaborate with external partners, including manufacturers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies such as the CAA and DfT, offering valuable exposure to the airport environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Working within the wider Learning Team for the design, development and delivery of all relevant training material across the Heathrow campus
  • Conducting annual reviews and updates of training material as part of the iterative process. Producing training materials that are in line with regulation and liaising with the regulators to ensure consistency in approach
  • Liaising with manufacturers to understand the operation of and instructions associated to any new technology being introduced
  • Embedding inclusive content into design principles
  • Digitalisation of content design within all technical areas
Qualifications:
  • Proven Instructional Design experience, proficient to intermediate/advanced level in the use of Design tools such as Microsoft suite (Word, PPT and Excel), Articulate Storyline, RISE and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, After Effects and Photoshop)
  • Able to demonstrate experience using film and photography equipment
  • Experience scriptwriting, storyboarding, technical content writing
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship building skills, confident to work across all levels of the organisation with clear communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to plan, collaborate on and execute multiple concurrent projects
  • Editing videos using Premier Pro and After Effects

Working Location
Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
