Job Description

Learning & Development Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be the first Learning and Development Specialist in our business. You'll have the rare chance to build something from the ground up -- designing and owning the full L&D approach across onboarding, upskilling, and career development.

You won't just be creating content. You'll work closely with managers and teams to embed training into how we work, helping shape a culture of learning that drives both individual growth and company performance. Your work will directly influence how our people grow, how quickly teams ramp up, and how we maintain high standards as we scale. With our Company values underpinning everything we do.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who wants to make learning meaningful, structured, and truly embedded in the business.

Key Responsibilities

Build from the Ground Up

Audit existing training materials and approaches across the business Create a structured development roadmap aligned with company growth and team capability that embodies our values and the ethos of the business. Develop scalable, repeatable learning processes that can grow with the business

Onboarding and Functional Training

Work with HR to develop onboarding programs by team and function that are engaging and are underpinned by the Company values and our over arching Company strategy. Support faster ramp-up time and free up managers from repetitive training tasks but allows managers to interject and bring in the human element

Capability and Skill Development

Partner with managers to assess team strengths and identify skill gaps Design targeted upskilling initiatives to improve quality, reduce errors, and increase confidence with AI and automation at the heart of all of our processes Build role-specific development plans aligned with internal progression

LMS Ownership

Manage and evolve our LMS platform with HR and business leaders, creating a fun, interactive learning and development platform Ensure the LMS complements -- not replaces -- human-led learning and interaction

Track and Report Progress

Define learning metrics (completion, participation, performance improvement) and feedback loops back into the business. Monitor impact and continuously improve programs based on feedback and results

Drive Culture and Consistency

Ensure tone and quality are consistent across all learning touchpoints Reinforce our values and behaviours through learning Help embed learning as a key part of our culture, not a one-off event
Reinforce a culture of learning being owned by the individual

What Success Looks Like

Learning is seen as a core enabler of performance across the business. Employees have clear development paths with measurable outcomes and feel supported in their growth. Training is consistent, structured, and aligned with company values and goals.

About You

Previous experience in a L&D role, ideally in a scaling business. Strong instructional design and facilitation skills and a fantastic communicator at all levels. Confident working independently -- you'll be setting the direction, not just delivering it. Experience managing or implementing an LMS system and creating engaging materials within this Comfortable working with managers and senior stakeholders to shape learning strategy. Passionate about people development and making a visible impact through your work.
