In this role, you'll lead exciting initiatives around staff development and continuous professional growth, working hand-in-hand with our AI Project Manager to bring cutting-edge technologies like AI into the classroom. Your efforts will directly impact a diverse community of learners--across study programmes, adult education, higher education, and apprenticeships--helping them achieve their full potential and succeed in their educational and career journeys.

Key Responsibilities
Partner closely with the Director of Quality & Performance, curriculum managers, and senior leaders to deliver an innovative, high-quality learning experience that aligns with the college's strategic priorities and embraces best practices. Analyse findings from lesson observations, work scrutiny, and quality assurance processes to identify development needs and tailor support effectively. Empower teaching staff through expert coaching, mentoring, and professional development, designing and delivering engaging training sessions and workshops to enhance teaching and learning strategies. Collaborate with the AI Project Manager to explore and implement cutting-edge AI solutions, leading the integration of technology to boost student engagement and improve learning outcomes. Work hand-in-hand with IT and curriculum teams to embed digital tools seamlessly into teaching and assessment practices. Drive quality improvement initiatives by contributing to cross-college projects that elevate teaching and learning standards. Engage actively with external networks and sector bodies, bringing fresh ideas and proven best practices into the college environment. Lead the research, development, and successful delivery of national projects in partnership with key organizations such as the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) and the Association of Colleges (AOC). Proven experience in developing and delivering high-quality teaching and learning initiatives. Strong understanding of effective pedagogy, assessment strategies and curriculum design. Experience in coaching, mentoring and training staff to improve teaching practice. Knowledge of current and emerging trends in educational technology. Understand of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework and quality assurance processes. Experience in work scrutiny, moderation and ensuring consistency in assessment standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire staff. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive improvements in teaching quality.
