About the Role

Leeds City College are recruiting for a number of Learning Support Assistants to join our teams across SEND and Inclusive Provision. We have opportunities in the following areas: 14+ Academies, Skills and 16-21 age group.

We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, independent, supportive and understanding, who are willing to learn and co-operate to meet the needs of the students. No previous experience necessary, although would be beneficial.

What You Will Do
  • Providing in and out of class support to meet identified needs of students who have High Needs and SEND requirements and/or those who are from the ages of 14 to 16
  • Attend annual reviews as requested and attend student meetings as required to update on progress and behaviours
  • To be involved in planning and preparation and assessment of learning as part of the curriculum team
About You
  • Educated to Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy (or a willingness to achieve this within the first year)
  • A supportive, team player who puts the students\' needs first
  • Able to adapt and embrace change
  • Experience of working within a team who support students who have High Needs and SEND and/or those who are aged between 14 to 16, to support their learning through identifying strategies and preparing young people for adulthood
