About the Role:

The Accounting and Finance Team sits in the Business and Law Faculty and operates in an integrated way across Chelmsford and Cambridge campuses. It is growing in size, ambitious and increasingly research focussed - recent appointments reflect this. We offer a range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses to students on-site and those located within partners in the UK and around the world.

The Accounting and Finance Team takes an innovative approach to education, working closely with national and international businesses to offer contemporary, professionally accredited and employment focussed undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Continued growth allows us to offer additional faculty positions in our School of Law.

The Accounting and Finance Team is seeking to build on existing strengths by appointing a new member of academic staff to a permanent position of lecturer or senior lecturer (this could be research active of as a practitioner) who can contribute to teaching/research and or practical sessions and related activities across a range of undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses, drawing on expertise in the practice. The candidate should therefore have a professional background in one of these areas, i.e., Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Empirical Methods, Quantitative Methods. You would be expected to be involved in the ongoing development of our existing modules so as they are appropriate to meet the changing nature of the profession.

With a degree or PhD or Professional Doctorate or nearing completion within the first 18 months of employment. You will have excellent written and oral communications skills and the Ability to think innovatively. Successful teaching experience at Higher Education level and/or relevant commercial and/or professional experience as well as commitment to our values is essential for this role.
