We are seeking to appoint a permanent post as

Lecturer in Digital Construction Management (Part Time FTE 0.6)

to help develop and contribute to teaching, research, and knowledge exchange within the School of Architecture and Environment.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to shape multidisciplinary built-environment programmes in Quantity Surveying and Construction Project Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge modules on these programmes, providing mentorship to students, and contributing to research initiatives.

Extensive knowledge/experience in such areas as cost estimating, procurement, measurement, tender preparation/analysis, NEC contracts, strategic business management, sustainability and construction technology will be highly valued. If you have a research-driven mindset, you'll find opportunities to explore your interests--particularly in digitisation of construction.

This position is ideally suited to professionals who are looking for a flexible academic role alongside consultancy or part-time industry commitments. Prior teaching experience is desirable but not essential.

About you



We require candidates that have a diverse skill set and can guide students through the core concepts of the progressive digitisation of the industry, specifically, with in-depth knowledge of academic theory and/or practice in at least one of the following disciplines: Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management and Construction Law

Candidates with an academic background should be qualified to doctorate level (or near completion) in a subject relevant to this post. However, if from a professional practice/industry background, a qualification equivalent to a master's degree (Fellow) in a subject relevant to this post, along with professional/industry experience. Candidates should be able to showcase evidence of their continuous academic/professional growth in relevant subject areas.
